Losene A.M. Talawally is a founding member and the Communications and Development Director of Better Understanding for a Better Liberia (BUBL). He handles project development and implementation, including communications and public relations relating to BUBL.
Losene is an astute leader and volunteer with the Students UpLiftment Initiative SULI-LIBERIA. He is an executive member and a cadre of the Indomitable Students Integration Movement (SIM) at the University of Liberia, and an analyst in the bureau of mobilization and outreach at the Liberia National Student Union (LINSU). He leads by motivating students in academic excellence, leadership, and the promotion of girls' education.
Losene has extensive knowledge and experience in civil society and grassroots organizing. He earned professional certificates in Cross-cultural Competence and Global Citizenship from the Youth of Understanding YFU-USA Virtual Exchange program. He also holds certifications in Entrepreneurship and Leadership from the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) in Ghana. Losene has completed a master-level training in Policy Advocacy and Governance from the Young Political Leadership School (YPLS) in Liberia. He is a certified adjudicator of Youth For Change (YOC) through the Liberia Ministry of Education that is adjudicating Liberia's National Debate Championship. He is a bachelor's degree candidate in Economics
and Public Administration at the University of Liberia.
